Exclamation Cannibis...to halt PROGRESSION???!!!

Well, we know about the uses for symptom management (with mixed reviews) -- but now a study tracking it's effectiveness to stop progression?!?! Actually, a SECOND study! This is the CUPID study but apparently there was an earlier one called CAMS that showed promising results. Completely missed THAT one!

Wow. Clearly I didn't spoke enough pot. Maybe that was my problem.

I'm going to ask my neuro what prompted him to ask "Do you smoke pot?" when I was first dx'ed. He didn't proceed to ask about harder drugs. Just the pot question. When I told him "Not in years now", he just went on to family history questions lol.

Perhaps he was going to see if I was already keen on the idea! Hrm?

Just like any other Med, it helps some and not others. Medical MJ should definately be legal..

Sally, did you know about the studies about using it to stop progression (not just sx management)? This was seriously the first I heard about it!

I had read that they were studying MJ for that purpose and that they believed it might, but no proof yet. I'm a little skeptic, but will keep an open mind.....after all, I'm on LDN..

I say, if it helps you fight MS, in any way, then...DO IT!!

We are currently waiting for Illinois to pass the mj law. It's on the books and hasn't been thrown out. Jim and I thought about marching with a group of advocates for mj but then changed our mind. AIN'T no one seeing my face outside of here until its legal! lol

Jim, on the other hand wants to go all the way to Springfield and sit on the steps of the Illinois General Assembly! He's even said he'll offer a live demonstration of how mj helps him when his clonus is acting up. Mercy!

I don't like it. Even though it's not my cup of tea, I still look forward to any developments in this area with great interest. If they really find evidence that it works, I wouldn't be adverse to doing it.

Now, I'd be a REALLY happy camper though if they found out that a vodka martini could do the same trick!
