Default Stabbing quick Headache pain

I had this last year.....I seem to be getting this gem again..

Now its in my right temple and right eye.....

Its quick and severe....lasts seconds or less.......Had one Saturday last for about 15 seconds.....That drove me to my knees........It comes with vertigo also.....

These are the only headaches that actually strike fear in me.....Well...Because I had one that did not go away last year.....It was the worst...Then my whole head lost sensation.......Scared the Margarita-ville outta me

I pray I am not heading there again.....The strange thing is that was the top right hand side last year....Now the positioning is different....

Anybody with anything similar?

My headaches that stay are different than these....

Kinda like someone is stabbing something sharp into your head? If so, welcome to the world of Ice pick headaches.

I get these too from time to time. Aleve has been the only thing so far that has taken the edge off of them for me. Some of them have been a warning a flare was coming, some have not.

I'm not quite sure what causes these, and now that I think about it - I've forgotten to talk to my neuro about these.

Hope you feel better soon.

As I read the link..it's like...yes yes and yes.......Yes to my growing list of things wrong with me...

What scared me....Last year may not have been a precursor to what was to come...But my this year...Summer is eerily like last Summer which was not good...

The only thing missing was the memory loss...short term...happened twice....both at night when I woke......Not knowing the lovely and beautiful wife...Did not know my house...

In my mind I drank to much and ended up in a strange woman's bed.....All I could remembering thinking...Is....I got to get home!! Tasha is going to kill me!!

Thanks for the input....
