Thumbs up Woo hoo!

I have mentioned in some of my posts on this forum that I applied for a CNA(Certified Nursing Assistant) Program. I am so excited...I was accepted into the CNA Program!!! I will start class on Monday at 7:00am. The class is four weeks long. In the first two weeks there will be a lot of reading, book work, and testing. The second two weeks are clinical. That is when I will be taking care of patient's. After the four weeks are up, I will have to take the state certification test. Next, I will be placed on a registry and I will be able to get a job at any hospital or doctor's office. There are many jobs available.

I feel a whirlwind of emotions, but mostly excitement! Wish me luck!

Default Congrats!

I read your check in post where you said the interviewer was pretty encouraging .....but until it's in our hand we always feel like it could so easily slip away from us. So glad they got back to you when they said they would, and you are set to go...

I've been meaning to comment on one thing in your check-in post. You said you had this really intense tremor in your upper body and it was like a seizure. I have had similar experiences with my legs. I have an excellent medication called Clobazam which stops the shaking almost instantly. Unfortunatley you can't get it in the states, But you can get clonazepam. I've tried both and the clobazam is superior. The funny thing is, My Neuro insisted it was not a seizure and still nearly goes into cardiac arrest when I use the "S" word. But he was pretty quick to recommend an anti seizure medication.

Go figure? But onward and upward. We're happy for you.

Evonne - that's great news! Hope you will still be able to come to the PD conf in Spokane in October!

Rosebud,

Thanks for the medication advice. I am going to discuss it with the new MDS that I will be seeing in November...or even earlier if there is a cancellation! Positive thoughts...positive thoughts! Fortunately, I have not experienced that seizure like shaking again. However, I have noticed that when I try to sit in a seat, like at the movies, and I try and keep my legs together, they both begin to shake. I will also mention this to the new MDS. I am not sure if this is a Parkinson's symptom or something else. Eventually, I will get some better answers.

Thanks for the encouraging words as well. :-)

Carey,

I can't recall the exact date of the event in Spokane, but I know it is right around my 15th wedding anniversary. If we are in town, I would very much like to attend. How do I register for that event?

Evonne :-)
