The Barrows Neurological Institute, based in Phoenix, Arizona, is conducting a national case study to learn of the effects caused by stress, anxiety and spirituality in individuals living with Parkinson’s disease.

The Nelson Wellness Center will serve as a satellite study site and is seeking willing participants to be involved. There is no cost to become involved, only a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease is required.

Classes begin September 15 and will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays at Nelson Wellness Center, 1220 Nokomis, Alexandria. Over a 12-week period, individuals will experience a variety of content, studies and outcomes.

Classes will be led by Brenda Larson, director of wellness at Knute Nelson. Call the Nelson Wellness Center to register at (320) 762-4327. Registration deadline is Thursday, September 11.
