DS seems to be having a severe reaction to the meningitis shot he got yesterday. He has a doc. appt for late this afternoon. I fear another disease has reared its head and I'm concerned about some other things too. DH knows what is going on and is ready to lash out at docs. Will update when I can.

School gave DS tylenol and I decided to pull him out for the day. I figure I can keep tabs on him better than a teacher with 20 or so students can. Naturally he said he was feeling better when I met him. Have him settled in at home anyway. What can I say... I'm a mother and he is my baby. Never mind that my baby is 12 years old. His symptoms are the kind you don't mess with. Doc appt is still a go. Better safe than sorry.

Definitely! Take him to the doctor! I do hope that those are only side effects or something like that and that his body will fight the problem on its own. However, as you said, better safe than sorry! Good luck!

While not 100% sure doc leans toward bad timing for getting the shot since a virus is making its rounds. Whew! Will keep a close eye on him and pump him full of tylenol.
