Default Amgen

Amgen holds exclusive rights to GDNF until 2017. According to Nick Nelson in
Monkeys in the Middle they recently suffered a series of business setbacks. What a shame. Consequently their stock has slipped in value. Nelson speculated that they might be willing to sell their rights to GDNF. Perhaps PWP can help them into the abyss by boycotting their products that are carried by other pharmaceutical manufacturers or by dumping mutual funds that are invested in Amgen. They sure didn't do us any favors. I'm far from a financial expert but it would be great to force Amgen to sit up and take notice that at 1.5 million we are not without some power. At the very least you can buy Nelson's book (you can only get it on Amazon) and then loan it out to a friend.

little rock,

that would be the only way to possibly get it - it's the only thing that matters to them.

Default A more effective approach

If their products are used by Medicare, big HMOs, etc and alternatives are available, it might be possible to work with Congress and the providers by focusing the letters there. Point out that by sitting on GDNF they are driving future costs to Medicare etc through the roof. Capture a few frames from that YouTube video so people can include that to the Congress with a URL to the full clip.
