I loved the hats!
By coincidence today I saw a portion of a show about a black/brown doxie who works as a rescue dog for lost hikers/lost children. It was on NatGeo channel, on a show about dogs that work in jobs! It also was really cute. Such energy they have, eh? .

A lady in our neighborhood walks a small weiner dog each afternoon. She meanders slowly as his little legs hurry along, maybe secretly wishing for a dog she could jog with, lol. They sure are cute little things.

Hamster races, LOLOL! Yeaha, and I'm sure they go in straight lines!
. That would be funny to see. I loved those little cowboys hats too Mrs. D. Oh Wiz, LOL, people giggle all the time when they see me walking with Bruna. Espeically when the wind is kicked up a little and her big ears go flying off to the sides in the wind. I love watching her shadow as she walks. They just crack me up. I took Bruna to a very small lake here with a park and nice biking/walking trails this past weekend. It was so beautiful outside. By the time we got all the way to the bridge, her tongue was almost hanging to the ground. LOL we sat on the bridge and enjoyed the water in the sunshine for awhile. I ended up carrying her halfway because I guess it was just too long of a jaunt for her. Took her to a drinking fountain and I thought she'd never stop lappin up the water! Oh, the dog Jeau and Linus (BIg Nose) in those pictures, I had the pleasure of meeting those lovely little weiners!

My son's friend has a weiner pup who was the runt of the litter...
. He's a hilariously cute little guy. He tried to mate with a female German sheperd (sp?) once... .

I saw one of these races years ago after I got my weiner dog and FREAKED OUT! They are soooo cute!
Thank you for providing a link. They are awesome little creatures! OH and my weiner dog has a pink cowgirl hat, a biker chick outfit (long story), a bikini, a cheerleader outfit, a back to school outfit (just in case we sign up for obedience school II) and of course holiday clothing. Yep, HELP, I've lost my marbles and can't get up. I use to make fun of people who do this stuff. Now, I am the QUEEN of folks "who do this stuff." LOL! . p.s. Love the last line of that poem. I still have days that my little darlin has her attitude about the toilet. I've NEVER met a dog as stubborn as these little ones when it comes to that department. They need to come with a private duty nurse or something. |

Vowel Lady, the last line of that poem just cracks me up too. HUA gave me the number of a woman who apparently is very good with helping people train their dogs, and over the phone! I have no clue what that is about. But I'm supposed to tell her that I adopted from HUA.
Bruna just drives me nuts in the toitey training department no matter how much time I devote. And I am sure she must know better! They aren't dummies! Speaking of dummies, I even have the Dachsunds for Dummies book. . Dottie, I almost got 2 low-riders but I'm glad I didn't, not at that time anyway. I was overwhelmed at having the responsibility of a dog when I first got her. A lovely HUA volunteer took Bruna into her own home to socialize her after they first rescued her from the puppy mill she had been in almost 3 years. However, given that low-riders are STUBBORN and hard to train anyway!...and her definite lack of training after 3 years in a tiny cage, well....I have a little stinker on my hands, LOL. Another thing that really doesn't surprise me about her. She's not typical when it comes to bed cuddling. She really doesn't know how to 'tunnel', not at all in fact. She doesn't smoosh right up next to me in bed and always ends up on top of the covers. I feel for her during the night and find her that way, and she is very cold, but I guess maybe she's used to extreme temperatures. So I pull her close, cover her up, she lets out a long, low groan and goes back to sleep, lol. .
