Default anyone ever make aluminum flowers?

It was a craft that I learned on an Army base 20+ years ago, but I never see it around any more.
just wondering!

Those are really nice! I've never seen metal flowers before!

Thanks - they are a lot of work. you cut and then wire pieces together - then dip in white paint as a base, then spray paint colors, then paint by hand.

I think the craft (flowers) started out being cut from aluminum cans - then someone learned about sheets of aluminum that offset printers use. So I'd go visit offset printers and buy sheets of their used aluminum.

But I never see the flowers any more. I don't think anyone is making them.

Those are very pretty. I think I saw some at Walmart but never as a craft anymore. Want to teach us how to do it?

I'm so ashamed, here are my aluminum flowers - you could say they are more of a "folk art" style. I think I need to step it up
