Default The Bronx Zoo

We spent the day there yesterday and fell in love with the place.

The baby sea lion was a favorite...also watching the tigers being fed.

Ms. Alffe!!!
.
Sounds like you are having a great time in NYC!

LOL at the video clip with the gorillas playing in the hay.

Are they good to the animals there? Plenty of room in proper environments?

Have a wonderful time.

Lightbulb sounds like fun...

Say, Alffe... there is a show on Animal Planet in the morning.
I think at 11am or 10am, but before noon at least. It is repeat in the afternoon here at 4pm.

It is called "growing up"... and each 1 hr episode is
about an animal.

Growing Up Moose was on yesterday. Very very cute and touching (French Canadian refuge)
I've also seen growing up walrus, growing up rhino,
and growing up sea lion, growing up giraffe, growing up elephant. Each of these shows starts with an orphan or very sick baby, and goes thru the rescue operation and how they did it and in some cases release the animals back to the wild.

It is a touching show, and you might enjoy it, since you liked the baby sea lion so much! Just a thought.

Thank you Mrs.D...I hope they will rerun it...been running around NY all day and just got back in time to change clothes and go to see Gypsy.

That little sea lion really makes his presence known and his big dad is as attentive as his mom. The little guy stretches out on a rock in the sun...stretches too far and roll off into the water. LOL They told us that at least now, at three months old, he can swim.
