Default Parkinson's Tango

Parkinson’s Tango

My engine is roaring
My pistols are cocked
My thoughts are soaring
But my feet are locked.

I’m charged up for action
I’m ready to go
But my flights been cancelled
& I’m a no show

Parkinson’s vacuumed
My vitality
I’m falling from sky
Like a leaf from a tree

But my roots of persistence
Were planted deep
It won’t suck out my hope
Or take my belief

When my words & my face
Aren’t corresponding
Remember that inside me
I am responding

You are still you
And I am still me
You like to spoon
& my feet are dancing
