Default Holiday Shopping

I bet some of you are out there right now, Black friday sales and all that.

*shudder*

I have some of it done, not enough.

I have no clue what to get the guys, as usual.
I don't even know what I want....

So how's your shopping going?

I didn't go out today. I'd rather stick forks in my eyes. I'm waiting for Cyber Monday. I don't think I can be pushed, knocked down or injured through the Internet.

I worked too, I opened our McDs inside the walmart at 5am instead of 8am..due to the walmart sales..and we were rocking..yeahhh

I dont do black friday shopping, my hubby learned and taught daughter as example...that it isnt the Christmas spirit when ppl act as they do at times on the sales day!!

bad news, in NY at a Walmart...a worked died....due to holiday rush as they opened the doors at 5am for the big sales...due to the mad dash rush of ppl..the door fell or something...he was tramped over pretty much..taken to hospital and did die after an hour there....sad very sad!!

shoppijng....nope havent done much..none actually..although hubby has gotten a few things done for us...hugs and happy holiday shopping all, sarah

I'm done.

running and ducking

I learned many years ago that holiday shopping crowds, traffic and parking lots just don't agree with me. Now I've applied for a job and if I get it I will be forced to go clothes shopping during the holiday nightmare as my closet is rather bare.

What little shopping I had to do I did mostly online and at Walgreen's. We adopted 3 senior citizens for Christmas this year and will buy only for them. I have one item left to get and I'm done. I'll probably get that tomorrow as I have a prescription to pickup and will get a $25 giftcard for my transferred rx. I'll use that and I do believe that with the giftcards I've gotten from "creative rx transferring" and online specials with free shipping I will have spent less than $100 for everything! Yipee!!

We did the sales today - my DD loves to go (she's 9) but after today we probably will never go again! The deals were not all that great. Then after what happened at Walmart and the shooting at Toys R Us in California, I don't think any sale price is worth it!!

I hear you, Karousel.

I used to love shopping with my dd but I can't even keep up with my mom anymore lol.

DD and I used to go to that 3 story mall in Dearborn, Fairlane, on Black Friday. It wasn't horribly crowded, and they had tons of stores we don't have around here.

But I prefer online shopping these days. Heck, I just took mom (78) to a couple stores and I had to wait in the car for her to finish. 2 hrs is enough for me.

And then I keep seeing that (Sarah McGlaughlin?) commercial with the Dogs in the shelters, Arms of the Angels... you know which one I mean. So I put aside enough out of my xmas budget and donated a big bag of Purina to the Humane society. Still, makes me so sad any of them don't have a family, wish I could do more.

WH - Quit hiding and help me wrap gifts, since you have all this free time.

I went to the mall today with my DD to get my DH his gifts. The sales that were there at the crack of dawn on Good Friday were still available today until 1 pm. So shopping today, besides having a blast with my DD, I got a lot of good deals and finished shopping for DH. Now that my shopping is done (except for odds and ends), I can enjoy the spirit of the season!
