Unhappy It's official... I'm in a relapse.

My MRI showed a new lesion on my brain stem. I start oral prednisone tomorrow morning. I knew this was what was going on but I'm still upset about it. I hate that I cried on the phone to the nurse.

Thanks to everyone for replying to my posts this past week.

You cried to the nurse? Did the earth stop moving cause of it, did she panic and have a melt down?

Girl...don't be hating that you cried to the nurse, you aint the first and it was fine, I'm sure...I cried so hard once the doctor couldn't understand what I was saying. I had to write it down and then it was all wet and blue ink running.lol You have nothing to apologize for...you just get to feeling better.

You are having a relapse...it is an upsetting time. Now then, come here and sot down on Momma's lap...here dry those lil tears. What you want me to cook up fer ya to make ya feel better?

Thanks, you guys are great. I think I just hate showing that weak side when I cry, I want to be stoic, you know?

I'm not sure why the dr didn't want me to do ivsm, but I'm actually kind of glad. I always have such a bad reaction to it, ie... weight gain, emotions, stuff like that. I hope the oral pred works. It would be kind of nice to stop falling into walls.

He also signed the paperwork for me to get a handicap placard for my car. <sigh> I was trying to hold off on that one for a while, but it's here now. I know I need it if I want to remain independent.

Me too! I've already cut out so many things I usually do, I'm now just hoping that I can enjoy the holidays.

hi kim,

sorry about this all falling now at x-mas.
i hope the roids help.
i don't feel that crying is a sign of weakness, only a sign of releasing emotions. all of which is normal given the circumstances.

i fought getting a placard too til i had to. but once i did i was really glad.
it helped me save so much energy better put into other things.

feel better soon.
please let us know how you are.
