Default A version of L'hermites???

Strange thing happening today. I've been having the feeling of cold water running from the top of head to my lower back on the right side. Almost like someone cracked an egg on the top of my head, lol.

Is this a version of L'hermites or should I call neuro if it doesn't go away??? I'm giving it a couple of days before I bug him since this just started about an hour ago. Gotta love getting a new SX right before the holidays.

Thanks for any advice.

I don't know Jenn. I didn't even know what that was until I read Jim's early 1988 medical records and it was mentioned he was tested for it. I hope it doesn't last long!

It sounds like a sensory symptom, an abnormal sensation much like those that have had creepy crawling feelings or the sensation of water running down their legs.

Personally, I don't think it's anything to be concerned about but as we know I'm not a doctor

ah well, guess I was just hoping it was an off shoot of a symptom I already had.

If it hasn't cleared up by tomorrow, I'm gonna call the neuro. Since he gave me the lecture of the century about calling in new symptoms, I guess I'm caving - LOL.

I get the sensation of running cold down my right leg just under my knee. It's a sensory oddity.

I pray your's doesn't stick around for long. Ewww, cracked egg? Does putting a hat on your head relieve the sensation at all?

You're messin' with my brain! I thought, Hey, I already replied to this, where'd it go? Then I remembered, I answered you on the other place.

Snoopy is correct that it is a sensory symptom, and it's "official" name is Paraesthesia:

"Paraesthesia describes a number of abnormal sensations just about anywhere in the body. These include tingling, prickling, pins and needles, electrical-type buzzing, burning, skin crawling, itching, partial numbness (like feeling through tent-cloth) and a variety of neuropathic pains."

http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/paraesthesia.html

http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/mssymptoms.html

So if you've ever had an abnormal sensation, this is 'just another one'. I have had them stand alone (i.e. not in an attack), or as one of the first indication of an attack coming on. That feeling you have described most often gets my foot, and it seems to only happen when I am driving (position?). I thought my car was leaking under the dash for a while, until I realized I wasn't actually wet.

parathesias, yep.

got a few oddities like that going on here, several times I've checked to see if I wet myself.

the oddest one is sudden pringling feet bottoms in response to muscles clenched elsewhere.

always throws me for a loop.

Thanks all.

Woke up this morning and it's gone. Wacky.

So no call to neuro since less than 24 hours. Might have been from pushing this past weekend. I do get other symptoms that feel like bug bites to me, so maybe it's caused by the same deal?

Still learning. Ah well, at least it's never boring, lol.
