Wink What am I feeling today...???
What a beautiful day!! When I woke at 5 this morning to help my son get off to work and do a few morning chores I was wondering what I was feeling…

As I got the pill holders all full for me my Olhipie and Mom...I…feel like we have a drug store between the three of us…I thought what am I feeling on this cold December day.

Got the dishwasher loaded and put some cloths in the dryer and still I was mystified by what I was feeling.

As I was taking some boxes out to the recycle bin I looked at my son’s horse in the pasture across the river and noticed that he didn’t have his usual morning hay. I called my son and asked him if I could feed his horse…Jim. He said to give him to flakes…of course I was raised with animals but didn’t know how big a flake was…he said about eight inches.

So as I’m walking down the road to go to the pasture to Jim I was feeling the icy rain hitting my face. It felt cold and wonderful. I got to Jim and as I was getting closer to him with the, “two flakes of hay”, he leaned way over the fence to reach me first…he pulled some hay and brushed my face with it and his nose brushed me on the second pull of hay…that nose so soft. I threw the hay over the fence and watched him for a moment as he pulled it apart so he could get to the flaky leaf part of the hay, that’s their favorite part. I guess it must be like when we have whipped cream on hot cocoa and spoon the cream and savor it before we sip on the hot wonderful cocoa.

As I turned to walk away from Jim I could feel the icy rain hitting me on the back of my head I felt that amazing feeling that had been flowing through me all morning. Still I wondered what is that…what am I feeling.

As I looked up into the shy and felt the rain that had turned to snow on my face, it came to me what I had been feeling. What I was feeling...was it is so wonderful to be alive. To be able to feel and taste and partake of this beauty that we have been blessed with.

We talk of angels and where are they when we need them. I know that I was being lifted and held by those angels. They were teaching me and praying for me that I would realize how beautiful life is.

I do know there are angel…there has to be angels, if not how could I have lifted my Olhipie up into our bed yesterday after I had bathed him. Sandy and Nikki and all of those out there who care for a loved one or for even themselves have to know that they are surrounded by angels…holding, helping and loving.

So what I have learned today is how great it is to be alive. To be able to feel pain and pleasure all in one day. I am so thankful for the angels that were whispering that to my heart today.

I’m also thankful for my NT family…I love you all! Please know that I do carry you all in my heart and think of you all often throughout the day. Wondering what challenges you might be facing today. Don’t forget that those angels are with you…you are never alone…

Thank you (((tammi))) ...it is always amazing to me that we can feel elated, and pained all at the same time...and hope that what the angels whisper will over-ride the other, and lift us..... I know there truly are angels, including the ones right here, and the ones we don't always see...*grin

very beautifully put tam .... we seem to get all caught up in the mundain tasks we do every day ... we forget to stop and "smell the roses" .... no matter how good or bad the day may seem it is still a day in which we are blessed if only we know where to look .....
