I dont know sarah......my neuro explained to me that when you wake up
with numb body parts that its probably not the ms more likely something
like cts and other nerve stuff. sooo, I dont know...I have parts that are
numb when I go to bed and again when I wake up...but some mornings
my arm is completely dead for awhile...he thinks its my carpel tunnel
effecting the arm.

I dont know if thats any help......sometimes it just is....

Thanks Sox, yes think just getting worse last few weeks, as numbness as you said was when going to bed, then also waking with it...just tired of having to look down at feet to make sure I am on them strong when standing so I dont fall over!!

Thinking maybe I should do a prednisone taper, my pcp last time I had a flare up of sxs (undx) but when I did, I called in to see if I could do prednisone...of course they said I had to see dr first...that took couple days to get in....then dr said, lets start a prednisone taper...I had to laugh...(as to not cry...cause I missed two days of work when could possibly not have)

she then mentioned, that she would give me a script for prednisone, saying I know my body, and if get really worse again then that way I can start up on a prednisone taper.

My sister gets mad I dont show up at a ER>.when I get bad...but if drs cant figure me out ..surely the small town ER wont...hehe..hugss,sarah

Have you been tested for CTS? That was the first thing my neuro tested me for after my right hand and arm had been numb for almost a year. It wasn't CTS....it was all MS. And it's still numb.....been numb now for a year and a half. He says it's permanent. It's very painful sometimes but Neurontin made me gain so much weight and didn't really take care of the pain so I quit taking it. I guess it's just something I'm going to have to live with.

Have you tried sleeping in other positions?

I get that numbness when I get up from my lazyboy, or from laying in certain positions. I have to lay poker straight, with one very low pillow, or my limbs will go numb (pins and needles feeling).

Does it affect both of your arms, and legs, and is it the entire leg (or just part)?

It doesn't improve as the day wears on, or last for 24 -48 hours?

It sounds like you go through something different then I do, and it is much worse (for a temporary symptom).
