Default MS Yoga Class

I started Yoga classes yesterday evening. I found a woman who teaches an MS Yoga class. We do most of the exercises sitting in a chair, one standing and holding onto the chair, and then the relaxation portion lying on the floor.

I had taken a Yoga class in the past, but it must have been at least 15 years ago. There were four people in the class, plus me, and they have all been taking the classes for at least a year. They were all very nice, and the instructor is fabulous. Montana made a big hit with everyone. He was able to help me get back up off the floor. I went ahead and told them that I may need help getting back up if I couldn't do it just using Montana to brace me.

Of course everyone watched the process, but that was okay because they were curious how we did it. Things will settle down, and after awhile they won't watch as much.

During the relaxation portion of class, we laid on a blanket with another blanket used as a bolster under our knees, one for a pillow, and then Caryl went around and covered everyone with a blanket. Twice I almost dozed off. I was afraid that Montana would start snoring, but he didn't.

The class runs for six weeks, and I think there are six sessions a year. I am sending in an application for the NMSS Wellness Scholarship, which pays up to $150 a year for an exercise program or gym fees.

Thanks. Yes, Montana always steals the show.

I kept adding the picture then removing it, because I think it's too big. But I like it, so I'm keeping it for awhile.
