Question Info needed for spinal cord stimulator

Hi all, I am scheduled to have scs trial Jan.22. I would like to hear from those of you who have tried the stimulator and your experiences. How much pain can I expect from the procedure. what does the stimulation feel like? did it relieve your pain? are you taking less medication? and do you feel like you are more active? I did get some info from my PM but I would rather hear from people who have had the experience. It seems like doctors always leave out little details like how much pain you might have.I am starting to get a little anxious about having this done. Thanks in advance for whatever info you can give me.

The stimulator didn't help me any and I had it taken out two yrs ago. I did have it in a year. I didn't suffer much pain having it put in. They will help you about as much as the person selling them, is willing to work with you. My guy wasn't willing to come and adjust mine at all. Never go into it until you know all the details about getting it adjusted.

Some of your luck may come from the kind you have put in also. I had the largests one put in because of all the pain I was suffering. The battery was placed under my lowest rib on my left side. It felt awful all the time.

I had to have it turned fairly high, so It kicked my foot forward. Will you have to sit at home while it is charging? That was bad too, as it took 4 hrs to charge. They don't usually tell you all details that you need to know.

At first, when I would sneeze or sit down to quick, it would sorta bit me, any quick movement was bad. There are a few people that do like them. I don't mean to scare you. Read over on "chronic pain" the comimts people have made. Good Luck!
