Can Potassium Bromide cause kidney problems? I have read contradictory information in this regard. In some sites it says it is a good med for animal with kidney problem,...in others they do not recommend it. Any insight will be appreciated.

The only thing I am aware it being used for is seizures. I am not aware of side effects involving kidney function of animals that take it for seizures.

Hi Seiko. Is this for a cat or a dog? There seems to be quite a bit of information about potassium bromide and animals. Is your's having seizures? Here is just one web site that addresses that.
