Default Lost one of my babies today

I am considered the crazy pet lady by many. I love all my pets and mourn each time I lose one of my dear friends. It has been almost a year since I have lost a pet.

I woke up this morning and went into feed the cats. ( they have their own bedroom ) Yes crazy pet lady! My cat Calypso aka Fat Cat was half way inside his tunnel and did not come out when I fed the others. I then went to feed the dogs and got into the shower.

When I got out of the shower Mya ( My Doxie) was whining and pacing outside the bathroom. When I came out she barked at me and walked towards the cats room. I went to get my coffee and ignored her. She kept coming to me and whining and going to the cats room.

Finally she stopped coming to me and stayed in the cat room whining like a baby. I went to see what was wrong and she was laying in the tube next to Fat Cat whining still.

As soon as I reached in the tube and touched Fat Cat I knew he was gone. I rescued him 13 years ago and he was around 3yrs old then. He had a long life and was happy. Geez how many cats have thier own room. He had his own bed and lived a good life with his kitty brothers and sisters and Mya his protector. Mya and I are a bit depressed today. But we were happy to have him as long as we did.

It never gets any easier. God Speed Calypso! We Love you!

Oh (((Dottie))) I'm so very sorry.
.
It's never easy losing one of our fur children. A friend of mine who goes by Roadie (and has MS) lost her Bubba, a big gentle dog, yesterday. She is in terrible mourning today. I feel so bad for both of you. But I know both fur kids had wonderful lives and wonderful mommies.
.

God speed to Calypso and Bubba.

I'm so sorry.
Your Doxie sure is a good little family member.
We lost a dog a few months back. It took me a good three days before I felt even half way okay. So hard...
It's normal to hurt with this type of loss.
God Speed.
(Hugs)

I am so sorry for your loss. I am so glad she had such a charmed life with you.
I belong to a forum called Spoiled Maltese-you would get along great there. A lot of our babies have everything except a private chauffeur-wait a minute-they have us.

Your Doxie sounds like a dear!

I'm so sorry!

Our cats & dogs all passed due to old age except for one who had cancer. It hurts each time, and it doesn't get easier. I know!

My thoughts are with you and your other fur babies.

Unhappy I am so sorry to read this.

It has to be hard for you.

Our oldest cat is 21 now and I watch her like a hawk!
The vet thinks she has cardiomyopathy and may go anytime.
Once her breathing is affected we will have to have her put to sleep I think. She may pass before that happens.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Jaded.

Hugs to Mya and the rest of the gang, too. I know it's hard on them as well.

You're not the only crazy pet person - my birds have their own bedroom too.
