Last night Jim and I watched David Osmond try out for American Idol. They told his story of being dx'd with ms as well as his dad Alan Osmond's struggle with ms. It was so touching. I hope he makes it through Hollywood so we can vote vote vote for David to go far. He said he wanted to do this on his own which answered our question why he didn't use his Osmond connections to boost his singing career.
If you don't watch American Idol you may want to tune in to see how far he goes. The judges were kind of hard on him but he made it and we hope he makes it even farther.

Very Inspiring...we are rooting for David, I think his voice is beautiful and as so many of those young people do with the American Idol....all he needs are the songs best suited to his vocal style.....

I saw him, too. He's a cutie!! I had no idea that he had MS, too. I knew Alan did but not his son. My boys were watching, too, when they showed him in a wc.......they were full of questions after seeing that. I told them to google MS and learn about it themselves......I'm tired of trying to explain it to people!!
Just so nobody thinks I'm a witch for doing that.....I have tried to educate them about it but it seems to go in one ear and out the other. When they're ready to concentrate and read about it they know where to find the info.

I saw him on Idol last night too. He did really well and hope he continues to. What an inspiring story and one I hope will bring more attention and knowledge about MS out to the general public. That competition is really stressful on all the participants especially someone with MS! I wish him strength to get through this.

Like Kelly, I knew about Alan, but not David. He is SO YOUNG. It makes me worry about my kids! It's not surprising that he has it, but that he has already been in a wheelchair at his age.
I'll be watching along with you Sandy and all the rest! I think the Osmonds are a very genuine and caring family.

I missed AI that night, but was able to catch David O in a live interview the following morning on a local Utah TV station.
He has such a great attitude and has been involved with fund-raising efforts for MS. He said his grandmother began the Children's Miracle Network (telethon) that raises money for ... ummm ... Something that benefits children. He's got my vote! Although I was rooting for Archuletta last year, I thought David Cook should win. David seems to be a winning name!
