Default Ladies I need some clothing help!

We are going to a formal wedding on Feb 14th, I have a black dress that I wore to the last formal wedding in the same family so I am thinking I need a different dress!

My question is since it is "formal" wedding I should probably make sure my tattoo doesn't show, right?

I am having a hard time finding a dress I like that doesn't show it. I have been shopping around here - first they are all SO expensive because of Prom time coming up and my funds are VERY low - second to find one that doesn't show my tat I am finding difficult!

So do I cover up the tat? Plus the dress I have shows part of it and I don't think that looks good.

Yabbit, they have really nice short jacket type of things. Lil'Monkey had to wear one recently. All dresses the girls wear have to comply with school dress code. Finding a dress that has wide straps and covers her back...and is cute and fashionable...nope.

She is taking a picture, so I'll post it in a few. Hers is a see thru material, but they come in all colors and fabrics.

The picture doesn't do it justice. It was really flattering.

Do you really think they'd notice you're wearing the same dress if you wore different accessories? I mean, no one likes to shop any better than I, but when you don't have the funds, just get some different jewelry.

Hope you have a great time!

Pictures, remember the pictures!!!

Can you post of a picture of the dress?

Belts are all the rage now. They really change the look of a dress.

Do you have a consignment shop in your town? You might find something affordable there.

I'm not sure about other places but here we have a little shop that rents out formal wear to women for weddings, proms, formal events, etc. It's a great idea.....'cos most times it's just a one-time event and the dress sits in the closet till it shrinks (well, all my clothes have shrunk so I'm assuming others do, too!! ). Men rent tuxedos.....who can't women rent formal attire?

We found some really fancy ones. Plain ones and some textured fabrics.

I might even get a few light weight ones for me. I'm not comfortable in strappy dresses and shirts, but they are so cute! Solves the problem for me.

This will come in handy for her too, because all school performaces have the same dress code.

Wish you were closer Char, you could borrow it.

The dress is the same one on my profile picture! I have seen the cover ups, and was thinking of one of them as well.

We do have one - I stopped by the other day and told her what I was looking for and she took my number so if something comes in she will call me.

I'm always cold, have sweater shrugs Little, 3/4 sleeves. Wore them with a variety of dress-up dresses, I think looks good. Bought one in a consignment shop, great dress I never could pay for new, but cost 5 bucks there!!
