Default Stupid eye and jello legs enough already!

You know yesterday I was accomplished! I got so much stuff done. Today I dragged through but managed to accomplish quite a bit.

AND THEN........
I stopped by the store and all of a sudden the jello legs kicked in. You guys ever know when you are about to splat? And I find myself forcing my legs to march picking them up extra high because I know I am about to fall for no reason. Tripping over the imaginary leprechaun is fine when you are at home but not in the middle of friggin WalMart! So I grab a cart and I am using this darn thing to walk and I am imaging my life at the age of 28 and praying to any god who will listen that I don't end up needed a walker by the time I am 30. Oh and it may be over exertion or stress or just me freaking out about the legs but of course my ON continued to get worse as the day progressed. I was driving home (all 50 miles) with one eye.

Anybody have any recommendations for when you feel it coming or have you tried anything that made the ON a little better? Obviously me staring at the computer screen all day yesterday made it worse.

I so send you hugssss

I am fighting a bout of dizzies right now, and Have to head to work. I am first one in, so cant really call in, but I woke funny feeling at 4am thought at 5am I could call my other manager to cover me. As feeling off, then fell asleep..woke at 6am. Too late to reach her for her to go in time...so heading in, hoping not for worse, or I will leave early.

Either way, I hate a bout of anything coming on and being out and about, and all the feelings you are going thru hugsssssssssss, sarah

Legzz, I have been having issues with my legs this week, too. Just feeling weak and heavy....hard to move them it seems like. Almost like they weigh 100 pounds apiece. I've had this sx before but this time it just seems worse. It'll pass but in the meantime it makes it just that much more difficult to do everyday things. I hope you feel better soon.

I don't have many recommendations for either situation, but you're not alone, trust me.

I've had trigeminal neuralgia smack me while crossing a very busy intersection, which is blinding pain that nearly knocks you on your tush. Talk about panic!

Also getting migraine auras when you're out shopping is not fun what so ever!! All you can do is find the safest spot to sit down and just relax, concentrate on your breathing and clear your mind.

That's why I love my pharmacy... they have large benches that you could literally lie on inside and outside of the store, in temperature controlled areas away from business, so if you have an episode you have a sanctuary of sorts. More places need to adopt this!!

The only thing I know of that helps is to remain calm. ( believe me, I know when these things happen the last thing you are thinking are calm thoughts!!) Getting real anxious will definitely make things worse. Sorry I wasn't much help.

Thanks you guys. Glad I am not alone. (sorry you are all here with me). You know my doc said I have RRMS. Isn't is supposed to Remit some time? Am i misinterpreting one of the R's??? He says the attack could last for a few days or a few weeks. it's been 6 months! Can I call the pharmacy and ask for a refil on the remitting part of my Dx?

My doc said RRMS too for me, but I have a couple of stuff that sticks around. Then I have what I call my "MS grab bag" that the bod seems to pick and choose each day what I'll have. I've only had one SX fully remit - of which I'm so thankful for 'cuz it was the worst one I've had so far.

We all experience things differently (a designer disease is what my bro calls it, lol) , so I'll go with what I've gone through. The longest I've ever had a flare was 3 months. During the flare, the new stuff is constant and always there.

After it's done, the SX's from the flare seem like they go into that grab bag I was talking about. Sometimes the weather will cause something to pop up, sometimes only when I push too hard ('cuz I'm stubborn. ), get a fever, etc. etc. It took me almost 3 years, but I do have a bit of a pattern to know what to expect thanks to journaling. I still have stuff that pops up and surprises me from time to time.

Hang in there! Hope you feel better soon.
