Default Disasters

Disasters

Rains and floods,
And storms that destroy,
The devastation,
Never brings any joy.
Droughts and death,
All so barren and dry,
The land is just dust,
It really makes you cry.
Fuel and fires,
Take all in their path,
Nothing at all left,
But the cruel aftermath.
All disasters,
Natural or deliberate,
Are the ways of life,
And you never know until it’s too late…

Your poem is so very descriptive Jaime.
The conditions that prompted it so very sad.

Thank you for sharing.

Jaime want to ask if you have found that the people around you dispite the suffering and loss if you find that there is more ..others helping others?
I found that after the 3 hurricanes and well usualy after any kind of devistation, natural dissaster people seem to pull together and reach out and help . the most peacefull time I have ever experienced in my life was after the hurricanes when the town or most of it was without power for 1-2 weeks.
sometimes the after math is in a way ...peace and bonds people together brings them closer and makes the differences disappear even if just for an hour.

My prayers are with all those affected by the fires, and with you .
Low pain wishes.

I LOVED YOUR POEM just tryin to cheer ya up my friend .
PEACE

Yes, I think there been a lot of people helping others, and I think because of the help in getting them out of their homes, many lives were saved here. Only one man was taken so far, by the fires in this town. I have been helping out after the fires, as I'm involed with the Salvos. But there are a lot of fires still burning, and they have been more devastating. But the generosity has been really great from every corner of the country.
