Default Branded?

I am experiencing a rather common MS symptom. I feel extreme burning on my left hip that is about the size of my hand. If I leave it alone for a while, the pain slacks off, but even the slightest brush of clothing on it, and it burns extremely. I have experienced similar sensations on my face once or twice in the past, but this is the first time the pain is this extreme. I feel like a heifer that has just been branded! I don’t suppose there is much I can do about it other than wait for it to go away, right?

Moooooo!!!

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Sounds very painful. Hope you can get some relief!

PS: Where you been? Haven't seen you around for weeks and weeks.

Twink,

I have been away from home since mid December. First, I was visiting with my in-laws for the holiday, then to Jamaica for a week to visit with some folks who stay there over the winter, and then a cross-country drive to San Diego, where we flew to Hawaii for three weeks. After that, we took our time driving back from San Diego to Connecticut. I’ve only been home for about a week, and I am sort of decompressing. We had a wonderful time, but I am exhausted, and I’m just starting to get back into routine.
Thanks for asking.

wow, all that sounds wonderful.
glad you had a good time.
what you're describing could be neuropathic pain. there are several meds that could help with your sx's.

i'd contact your dr and see what he says about this.
