Default Anyone do one of those prolonged sleeps?

I am wondering what would happen if someone with PD went to sleep for a week, or even a month or more. I'm talking about like in a coma, where you literally do not wake back up for a week, month, whatever. I have read that in the 1960s, it was popular for people to go to Europe and get put to sleep for a week or a month, of course being very closely monitored and given fluids, etc., for weight loss, of all things.

Has anyone done this, or thought about it? Any thoughts on what would happen? I wonder if the body were given a break in this way, free from all stresses, even the stress of being awake, if it might send the PD packing. Just curious, I know it's ridiculous.
