Default I survived kentucky!

So 12 hours in the truck with 4 yr old DD and "Mr. Grumpy" Made for one very long trip. I will admit DD was so well behaved both on the trip out and the trip back that I have to take her shopping today to buy toys.

So Kentucky was interesting and by interesting I mean fun place to visit but no I will not be moving there. We were a river's width away from Indiana. Literally, the Ohio river and the other side is Indiana. We didn't really do very many touristy things like I wanted to but that's OK. We were going to hit Mammoth Caves but i decided against that as i have had a hard enough time walking as it is.

The truck broke down as soon as we crossed back into Virginia... Could be worse, it could have happened in Marmet West Virginia where we stopped for lunch. That was a learning experience. You know those stereotypes of WVa? I believe they came from this town. The rest of the state was really not so bad, there was a lot of pretty mountains.

My hips are now completely mub to match my legs, for some reason my pinky and ring finger have gone numb too. it's very annoying and I just feel so tired. i am actually looking forward to my appt with the neuro Wed where i will be begging for IVSM

i'm glad you survived the trip and that your little girl was good.
it took me a month to recover from my trip to FL for thanksgiving.
maybe with you being at home you'll get rid of some of the sx's.

glad you're happening to see your neuro.

I think Kentucky is one of the most beautiful states. It has beautiful rolling hills and lots of horses and horse farms. Of course my DD lives there and I try to get down there as often as I can! You think driving around in KY is bad now, we used to make routine trips through Ky to get to northern Ky across the river from Cinsinatti. I 64 was not there yet and yes, you saw that the Ohio river was a constant.

For some reason that Ohio river makes our weather here very unpredictable.

I'm glad you made it safely through your trip. Your DD must be an angel. I hope you'll feel better after your Wed. Appt with the neuro.

I recall those long trips with our boys (two years apart)! They're 25 & 27 now.

The good news is I haven't killed Mr. Grumpy yet. You see he conned me into going to Ky he lied and told me it was only a six hour trip..... yeah it's over 600 miles from our house to Goshen KY! So unless he is going over 100 miles per hour and not stopping to get gas or pee, there is no way in h.... you can make that trip in 6 hours! (I did refrain from pointing out I told him to buy the chevy, and I refrained from telling him this is what happens to your truck when you lie to your girlfriend)

Oh, you guys remember the coffee incident on his birthday (I lost the whole cup trying to get his present?) He did the exact same thing the day before we left for the trip..... Now I don't feel so guilty for not telling him about my coffee fiasco.

And his parents house reminded me of the Republican National Convention. Hours upon hours of politics. Now mind you after hearing about the screw up with Gordon Brown I am beginning to agree with them. You know they whisper the word "homosexual" there? It's the funniest thing! If only his mom and dad knew what I do for a living! I thought about telling them just to watch their heads explode, but thought better of it seeing as "Mr. Grumpy" was my ride home.

I have to wonder why this supposed flare up is still here? It keeps getting worse and it has been here since August!

My favs. Glad you enjoyed your trip to Kentucky maybe next time you will come to the eastern side and check out our Grand Canyon of the East.. The Breaks State Park.
