It's kind of funny what kinds of procedures appeal to different people -

I do not want a DBS unless absolutely necessary; I would not sign on to a clinical gene trial that bores into my head; I don't even like the invasiveness of duodopa, but ........

I'd sign on to a clinical trial that stimulated my spine, and the side effect of pins and needles even sound preferential (especially if my brain was buzzed back into full gear!)
