Default Eating after ACDF?

So, those of you who have been through an Anterior Cervical Disk Fusion, what suggestions do you have for eating in recovery? I imagine swallowing ain't gonna be fun.

Liquid diet only? Lots of smoothies? Stock up on bendy straws?

Any suggestions for my grocery lists this week before surgery would be most appreciated.

I'm a fan of Clorox Wipes for easy and handy cleanups in and around hospitals, dr offices, pharmacies and people. Get 2 or 3. I clean the phones, the bed trays, the doors, handles and knobs for our loved ones in the hospital.

Godspeed for your recovery
