Default Memory Walk

I just saw a commercial callled "memory walk" for Alzheimers disease.
It said walk for Alzheimers research and invite 3 people to walk with you and they will each invite 3 and those people will each invite 3 and so on.. Isn't that a great idea?? Maybe we PD'ers coulld hitch our wagons to them and make it for all related illnesses!

IT is a great idea!!

Default hmmmmm

Charlie

Don't you just hate it when you feel like you have this great idea, and nobody else seems to go along with it? The Memory Walk IS a good idea, but just like Cancer had the successful motto of "Stand up for cancer," it probably wouldn't work for Parkinson's. We need something of our own.

There is an idea that was floating around a while back which sort of goes with your thinking several years back that I feel would really work. You had said we needed to orchestrate a march on capitol hill, and I believe that would get attention.

I'm not going to reveal my idea right at the present, but if we could get a group to start planning for next year, we could reallly, really get attention. Does anyone hhave suggestions as to who could help carry out one of these ideas to brind real awareness to PD??
