Thumbs up Anti Embolism (compression) stockings for leg pain

Hey y'all,

I recently had a spinal fusion on the L5-S1 (two weeks ago). This surgery removed the sciatic pain in my right leg, but I guess due to inflammation (the incision is still kind of inflamed) I have been having pain in my left leg as well as pain on my feet. My mom, who is a nurse, gave me these anti-embolism stockings to wear at night and they really help ease the pain!! Praise God! I usually wear them just to sleep, but sometimes I keep them on, depending on how my legs feel. You can get them at a medical supply store. Maybe also try asking your doctor or nurse about them, they may have them available at the hospital or clinic. Make sure you get them in your correct size. It tells you on the bag how to figure out your size. They fit a little tight but they are supposed to as they compress your legs to aid in blood circulation. Wikipedia has a basic explanation about compression (anti-embolism) stockings.

Good luck getting pain free everyone!
