Default Understanding Complications of Chiari Surgery

New to site so be patient with me.
I had chiari surgery on April 2, 2015, as one of the 8 neurologists that have treated me says, you have had headaches for decades so my expectations are to be patient with any treatment. I had a suboccipital craniectomy, c1 laminectomy, and duraplasty. I just turned 54 and am a bit dismayed that it took so long to see this problem but my situation was not so obvious.

As of the last few days, my headaches grew progressively worse, my neck is stiffening and which is quite tender and red has literally just started to drain orange. My appointment is early tomorrow. After what seemed to be a flawless surgery with a really quick get out of hospital where the doctor was impressed, I now am saddled with the very thing that brought me to him: killer headaches. I don't know how many folks out there in Chiari- land have constant headaches but I am one of unlucky few that do not get a break. I am concerned as I have a complex history of other conditions including high blood pressure and grand mal seizures to name a few. I do want to protect my track record of not having a seizure of over 30 years.

What I am hoping to hear is if anyone else has had a similar experience and how did they make out. Thanks for hearing me out. I have no idea what is next but I believe in my doc and his staff. They are top notch: Dr. James Fick.

My concern are that I have a leak or possibly infection. I have no temp but on the other hand had double pneumonia and did not have a temp until I was in the hospital for 4 days.
