Bluesfan, I don't usually use the "New Posts" command but when I do I can see 11 new posts, ranging from 12:43 PM to 2:19 PM today my time. I can also see another 23, flagged with "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts.", ranging from 12:28 AM to 10:19 AM today (I was out (grocery shopping) from mid-morning until now).

I used the "Mark Forums Read" command about 11 PM yesterday so I guess they are all the new ones that I have yet to read.

Those numbers look on the low side to me - maybe some members are having issues with the new incarnation of NT - eg, they forgot/did not record their passwords(?).

Thanks kiwi - that's about the same as what I'm getting now as well - I used to normally use the 'New Posts' button on the toolbar which took me straight to all the posts (new & previous). What does the "Mark forum read" command do? - I tried it yesterday but nothing seemed to happen.

Getting late here - will log off and shut computer down and have another go tomorrow.

I think the "new posts" purges after a certain level is reached.

I use it all the time, and over the years, I have seen it recycle when it fills up. This new update may have changed the size allowed on it.

Up until today I seemed to have gotten through the maintenance update without any issues but today when I clicked on 'New Posts' only 2 pages came up. There's usually up to 50 pages (new posts and previous ones) and I can click back if I missed something. Have I accidentally selected some option that means only the newest post show up. Can anyone please tell me how to get these back. Thanks
