Default Anyone else have a Work Comp claim in CA?

Yesterday, my attorney informed me of the ongoing problem with the work comp companies in CA. They are trying to give patients less or no medication refills and they are getting away with it! It is very bad news for all of us affected by this! Anyone else aware of this situation?

Yes. It's been an issue for about a year. When you get a denial pay close attention to the paperwork, you only have 10 days to respond. There are no more hearings so they've figured out all types of games to get away with not paying.

Default Work Comp with lifetime medical awarded is one Big Sham!

I have had a work comp attorney for years. I got my lifetime medical award and have been on Kadian and Celexa for 15 years for chronic pain due to failed surgeries and my original injury. Now in CA they have a medical examiner who never saw me, say I don't need the morphine pain medication and Travelers is going to cut me off from my much needed medication for chronic pain! My attorney is doing everything he can, which is nothing! I'm left in massive pain and life goes on! Just want everyone to know, lifetime medical in CA is one big sham and my attorney does what he can but no success, he even agrees with me! Thank God I have a caring pain medicine physician and may have to put charges on my medicare! What a big sham, Liberty Mutual and Travelers! I hope I can help someone by what I am going through!

Write up your case facts and what is happening to you, send email & maybe even paper copies to gov officials, one of them may be of help , or at least they will know what injured people are dealing with.
State & federal - Congress persons, reps, governor, even president & top cabinet members.

I know in the past a few members with med/treatment issues did write their reps and did get some help.. so it can't hurt to try...
The more stories they see from real people the more it will help them to understand how people are affected..

You could even call if that works better for you.
