Gunny,
It would appear that the detox is not so much for those who have been under the care of Pain Management dealing with chronic pain; but rather those who have abused or are dealing with addiction.

When is a trial for the SCS suppose to take place?

Should the trial be successful, and you decide to go with a permanent implant, there may be a period of managing the pain relating to the SCS implant. This may play a part in determining a gradual lessening of pain meds.

Please keep in touch.

Gerry

Understood Gerry.
Thankfully, my awesome BCBS Federal Plan covers this type of thing.

Unfortunately , the normal titrate method of gradually coming off them will NOT work for me!

I agree, coming off them gradually is difficult for most of us that are on high dose medication for chronic pain. Glad you qualify.
