Confused Unexplained Lesion on Brain - any similar cases?

Hello, I am new here! I am a 31 year old female who has had migraines sporadically for the past 10 years. They always present themselves with a visual aura first and follow with a pounding headache. A little over a month ago I had one, and my vision never full resolved itself, as it usually does.

I went to a neurologist and he did an MRI and found a lesion in my occipital lobe, causing the vision disturbance. Since then I've had numerous MRIs, PET scan, lumbar puncture, blood tests, and CT scans. They cannot figure out what is causing this lesion. I am 100% healthy based on all of these tests.

They are now monitoring it to see if it grows, which could possibly mean it's a tumor but they are saying from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like one. They cant figure out why there would be this inflammation without a cause.

Has anyone had a similar experience and shed some light? I am now waiting 2 weeks until my next MRI and taking it from there, but they are so stumped I find it frustrating.

Thanks!

Jaimie
