Default ABI from multipale concussions

HI.Newbe to this site. Trying to find someone in the same situation as I am, multiple concussions.
I'm 55 years old and was diagnosed in 2010 after my family saw a difference in my behavior, mood swings, forgetfulness, depression. I went to Saint Michaels hospital where I gave the doctor all the names of the hospitals that I was in Canada and the US. After 6 months I went back and was informed, at that time, that I had suffered about 8 major concussions and about 10-12 mild ones.
I said US hospitals because I played baseball at the "A" level as well a semi pro football. I also played hockey, lacrosse, rugby as well as wrestled in high school. My part time job was being a doorman for 20 years retiring at the young age of 45 lol. It's now 6 years later and I have suffered about 4 more the last one was in a slow pitch game when I was hit with a line drive ground ball that hit the ground just before it got to me and hit me in the side of the head, ( Did I mention that I was coming back from a one year forced retirement. I retired on the strong advice from my doctor and my wife ). Now I love the game of baseball, so much that in 2013 I ask my doctor if I could play while wearing a helmet, the doc reluctantly said yes. So fast forward to me getting hit in the head, it crack the side of the helmet just in the back of the ear.
With all the concussions that I have had in the past plus the last one my issues have gotten worse. My speech is slurred and studdery my depression has worsened and I was forced to retire from my job at the age of 55 and go on permanent disability. I'm tired of hearing about professional athletes that have the finances to fly to the best doctors or there teams fly them and if they can't play any more there teams give them a job in the front office. I don't have such luck. I don't have the money to fly wherever to get look at and I'm out of a job. I tired of talking to therapist that have never had a concussion. How do they know what I'm going through?

So if there is anybody out there that is going through what I am lets talk. I feel that talking to someone that is going through the same thing as I am will perhaps help both of us.

Thank you for reading this rather lengthy summation of my concussion history

Hello notthesame: I'm sorry I cannot really be of much help to you. I'm 68. And I'm quite certain I've had multiple concussions over the years... not from playing sports though. (I'll spare you the details.) However, when I was young, one did not receive any kind of medical treatment unless one was at death's door. So regardless of what may or may not have occurred, life just went on. Today, I have Meniere's Disease, as well as a variety of mental health problems. (I'm actually a more active member on NT's sister-website PsychCentral.) I have tinnitus & I live day-to-day with what I sometimes refer to as a "head-in-a-fishbowl" sort of feeling.

Anyway... since this is your first post here on NeuroTalk, I thought I would welcome you. I hope you find whatever amount of time you spend here to be of benefit.
