Default Linkage between rosacea and Parkinson's

Parkinson’s Disease Linked To Common Skin Condition << CBS Pittsburgh

“People who had rosacea developed Parkinson’s about 1.7 times as often as people who did not have rosacea. And when they got Parkinson’s they got it about 2.5 years earlier,” says Dr. Brian Horvath of Horvath Dermatology...

...“Always been understood that rosacea is too much inflammation. The issue of Parkinson’s having too much inflammation has been more understood recently.”

Thanks olsen.

The Abstract of the Danish study referred to in your link is here Exploring the Association Between Rosacea and Parkinson Disease: A Danish Nationwide Cohort Study. - PubMed - NCBI.

It looks impressive to me - there were more than 5 million subjects in the study. It is interesting that tetracycline therapy for rosacea appeared to lead to a small reduction in the risk of Parkinson's disease.
