My sons' childhood friend who is 26 is in the hospital fighting for his life. He's a bad alcoholic and relapsed into drinking vodka again about a month ago.
His parents tried to detox him at home and he started having delusions so they took him to the local hospital. There they discovered his liver was failing so they airlifted him to Loyola in Chicago. He's having bleeding in the brain now and they don't know if he'll make it through the day. Please remember him and his family in your prayers today. He has three young kids with his ex-wife. He was an awesome young man, and I feel so bad for him and his family.

so sad to read this
I do hope and pray he will recover, and be able to start a new life without the ravages of alcohol. praying for him and his family and your son too Wiz. It must be very hard for him to see this happening to his friend

Wow, that is sad. I'm so sorry. That is so young to be so destroyed by alcoholism. I hope God can heal him and give him another chance.

He's doing better today but we don't know a lot of the details. Our DS's went to see him yesterday at Loyola and he was on life support
 I hope he'll get past this and survive and recover.
