Default Lower back pain 5 months after surgery

I had lumbar surgery and L4L5 nickel size cyst and disk was removed. My back really hurts when I am standing. Is this normal? Do you have any suggestions on what I should do to relieve the pain? Darlene

Have you told the dr/s, have they investigated/ re imaged?
It might be scar tissue, might be secondary injury/failure or something else..
If dr doesn't do a hands on evaluation, and if they don't want to redo images...
ask for PT referral for eval,

You might look into low level laser therapy, also called cold laser or soft laser..
If it is just soft tissue pain or a bit of internal scarring causing pain that might help.

Chiropractors seem to be utilizing the lasers the most, but you might find a PT place that has them. Make sure it is a real laser and not LED light device..they can look similar but Laser treatment is faster & better..

Default Lumbar Spine L4 L5 degenerated disk with nickel size cyst surgery

I had Lumbar Spine L4 L5 degenerated disk with a nickel size cyst touching my spinal nerve surgery. The cyst and disk were removed, replaced with spacer, 1 rod and 2 screws + two rods and four screws 1-26-16. My back healed great but it really hurts when I stand. Is this common?
