well, I won't ask how old you are...but I know that you are young at heart...

I would send you some Duke's and some Sarge's cabbage, but I am afraid they'll be crabbage by the time they get there...LOL

so, I will just wish you a happy birthday and hope that you know how much you are loved by many...and I hope that Mr. ***** soupie will take you out to a nice dinner and whatever afterwards...*wink *wink...LOL

Thank you all, I am having a lovely day. Both my sisters called me this morning and my children showered me with gifts in the mail. *grin

I am not not anywhere....too cold! I have a new recipe I want to try, "Salad with deep fried Manchego cheese and a Madeira Reduction"...but I have no madeira wine in the house.. Any suggestions on what I can substitute???

I know what Madeira wine is, but what is a Manchego cheese??LOLL

Alpho, there are four types of Madeira wines, do you know which variety was recommended??

If you are needing the "Sercial" type which I have tried, it has a slightly "roasted coffee" taste to it.

So, maybe adding little bit of coffee and to whatever wine you are using??
