Default Extreme Headache?

Hit my head again - didnt think much of it because compared to previous bangs it wasnt bad.

Next morning (today) woke up with a sharp headache at the spot that lasted about 5 seconds then it was gone.

That sharp pain has occured about 6 more times today.

I dont have any nausea or dizziness but Im concerned because Ive never had this kindve sharp lightning pain before. Ever in my life.

Went to the ER and they asked if I was naseous, dizzy, etc. I said no. They offered to do a CAT scan but I said "no thanks" The radiation y'know.

Anyway - what do you folks mean by an "extreme, severe headache" I want to be aware of what symptom should be a concern - Im a bit confused. Thasnks

An extreme, severe headache makes it difficult to do anything, even think. It lasts for hours without letting up. It may start out less intense but grow in intensity and be accompanied by other symptoms, such as nausea, vision difficulties, slurred speech.

It sounds like you had a contact point spasm of nerves and vascular structure.

Vasospams can be painful but go away after a minute or two in most cases. They are from the nerves triggering a spasm around the veins and/or arteries. I get them and they stop me in my tracks for a minute or two.

My doc said that if they go away, not to worry about them.
