While doing my PT I keep having issues of initiating movement. It's so strange. They tell me to do something and I try but message takes a while to get to the location of where I am supposed to do something. My left side is the side I have the most trouble with. Once the message gets there, it takes a little bit to get in the rhythm and then I am fine. As an example, I was asked to flex my left foot for some exercise. It took about a minute for my brain and foot to coordinate and the foot to flex.
Last week, they had me do some leg exercises on a machine. I had a tough time with my left leg but not my right. Anyhow, I also didn't feel the pull at all in my left leg like I did my right. The PT checked to make sure the muscles were contracting properly and they were but I couldn't feel anything. I left PT and the next morning, I felt in my thigh what I should have felt the previous day while doing the exercise. It was was so weird. I wasn't having spasms or anything as when I felt the muscle it was relaxed and normal. It was the weirdest thing.
All in all, I really see the humor in it as it is pretty funny when your brain and body parts are in sync. I started laughing when I did the foot flex and the PT assistant was telling me to go ahead and flex my foot, nothing happened, and then she said any time you are ready. I cracked up because I was ready and she and I got a good laugh out of it.
I have also burnt myself and never realized it until 1/2 hour to hours later. I'm very careful when using my left hand around any heat source. I have some trouble with my right but not like my left. My family has repeatedly told me to that the water I am using to wash the dishes is hot. I look at my hands and they're all red but I don't think it's hot.

I was wondering how many of you have these delayed reactions to things as well as the lack of coordination between your brain and body parts.
