Stacy, please don't blame yourself or waste energy trying to figure out if you did something wrong.
Every one of us, whether suffering from diabetic, toxic, alcoholic, hereditary, cancer treatment related, or the infamous "idiopathic" (many of which I believe are hereditary) neuropathy has good days and bad, or bad days and worse. The bad days can stretch into weeks, and you find yourself with a new normal that is not quite as good as before. You have limited control over this disease.
I am afraid that many modern books and magazines with their emphasis on manipulating health through diet, exercise, and supplements can have the effect of blaming the patient who finds herself with a chronic disease. If you are taking the supplements recommended here and have experienced some improvement, you may be doing all you than you can. Your energy would be better spent trying to make yourself as comfortable as possible, doing something that you enjoy, thinking of little treats for yourself while you ride out the lows.
