I really feel bad for others like me who have no a/c in their living rooms but only in the bedroom. I'm afraid to keep running it because it's 15 years old. It still works fine but jeez. It's old. Today they expect the heat index to be 105. What the hell kind of weather is this? This is Brooklyn NY for heaven's sake. We don't get heat index's of 105. NEVER.

Well, I do remembere when I was 18 and coming home from work (this was over 47 years ago (not good at math, lol) and I remember looking upwards over the bank and they had the temperature and the time. I remember seeing it saying 105. I remember people walking around me with bottles of water and pouring the water over their heads. Oh, I think this was 1965 and then we had the BIG blackout and I remember reading that 9 months later there was a baby boom. God, the stuff I remember. lol
