Hi

My CRPS started in my left knee after I had OA symptoms in my knee for 9 months and then had an arthroscopy. That diagnosed patellofemoral arthritis (under my kneecap) grade 3/4, but to be honest I have no idea whether the CRPS started because of the OA or because a nerve was damaged during the arthroscopy - i suspect it was a damaged nerve.

CRPS is known to cause damage to bones and muscles over time. I think Arthritis UK produces the CRPS info for the NHS. Worth doing some reading around on - there are lots of interesting papers and articles about CRPS.

Good luck!

Bram.
