I'm sorry to hear you've been through some serious trauma.
I lost my brother 10 years ago (car accident) and I STILL feel like a part of me has died.....We used to play music together and laugh like crazy. Sometimes I just feel as tho I am 'fading away', useless, etc. This forum has become a wonderful thing to me. It's a 'safe haven' and I feel comfortable here.
I hope that's what NT will become for you as well. You'll become more and more familiar with moving about the forums. If you click on the big 'NeuroTalk' logo at the top of the page, it will bring up the main menu. Feel free to look thru all the different topics and post anywhere.
Just holler if you have any questions. People are very helpful here.
I'm glad you've had some good labwork done. I surely understand the cost issue. Is there a place where you live that you can get counseling using a sliding fee scale. Some places offer this and they bill you according to your income level. The mental health facility where I live does this, plus they make the meds very affordable.
Caring,
Rae
