when i first started to use mine it felt so foreign. i hated it. but soon i got used to it and now i can't walk without it, especially around people. i'm fine in my house but outside, nope. but, i CAN walk, and drive. so, it's a good thing.

Same here. I'm getting used to it now, even being young looking(38) and wondering if people are thinking I am faking it Yes I can walk without it, but I have stumbled many a time in public without it. it gives me an extra point and something to help keep me in a better walking line(I tend to walk left for some reason)

I know some say using these devices is giving in to the disease, but for me bashing my noggin in, is a far worse scenario. Plus it lets people know that I do have some problems and people help me out more than when I didn't use a cane. I keep it in the car always for times I feel I really need to have it.
