Pregabalin is the generic for Lyrica. Gabapentin (cheaper) is generic for Neurontin. The price for Lyrica isn't likely to come down. If there is a generic version in the US, which would be Pregabalin, the generic will be cheaper. Our insurance company automatically fills the script with generic when a generic is available, unless the Dr says "dispense as written". You need to ask
your insurance company.
