Exclamation Caution when mixing natural/pharm. meds

A very good friend of mine is a Doctor of Chinese medicine, and, she has an MG patient--what are the odds?! She gives her patient acupuncture, and massage, and will not give her anything else without an MD's consent. That's how good this practitioner is.

She recently discovered that someone told her patient to take a supplement called St. John's Wort, which my friend says, can be very effective for "the blues"...NOT clinical depression. My friend did a little research and contacted me to provide me with this important information.

There are contraindications for St. John's Wort and a good number of drugs, taken by myasthenics. I'll post one of the sites that offers this information.

This is why we are wise to investigate, prior to taking any supplements or
pharmaceuticals.
