Hi Jesse,

I think you mean 5000 IU -- not mg.(?) As long as it's D3 (and not D2) which can be gotten OTC, you should be on the right track. There's a higher (mega)dose doctors sometimes prescribe, but IME it's usually D2, which isn't recommended anymore.
